Purchasing and collecting your next vehicle is simple with Sherwoods Click and Collect/Delivery. Every stage of the process adheres to strict guidelines set in our Sherwoods Safety First policy, protecting our customers and teams, while working hard to keep our local communities moving.

Sherwoods Click and Collect/Delivery allowing you to purchase a new or used vehicle without leaving your own home.

How it works – Our Simple Three Step Process

1. Select your car and reserve online

Find a vehicle on the website that you like and use the “Reserve It Now” button.

2. We’ll be in touch to assist and complete your purchase

Once we receive your enquiry we will contact you to arrange the rest!

You are able to arrange finance quotations and get a part exchange valuation on our website ahead of making a reservation, but when our team contact you we will be able to assist directly with anything you may need.

We can also send you a personalised Virtual Video of the car you are interested in.

3. Choose Click and collect or Delivery now.

Once you have spoken to our team, you can choose to either

  • Click and Collect allowing you to purchase online then collect at your local dealership.
  • We can arrange a SAFE, FREE* vehicle delivery at a time that suits. All the documentation and signing can be done online so you don’t need to leave your home. Our vehicle deliveries follow a stringent process to ensure that our team and customers are kept safe.

The Sherwoods Delivery Process

All deliveries will be carried out by a fully trainer delivery driver, and they will always wear gloves and a mask at all times.

We will need to see identification when we arrive at your house and will do this while maintaining a 2-metre gap.

The keys will de sanitised and placed in a plastic bag on the floor 2 metres in front of the customer.

Paperless transactions are preferred where possible and all the documentation will have been sent digitally before the handover but if not suitable, a plastic wallet will be used, and the customer will keep the pen.

Your vehicle will be delivered with protective equipment in place, which will then be removed and the steering wheel and control panel will be disinfected in front of the customer.

A very basic explanation of the vehicle will be given at a safe 2-metre distance or we can send you a video of this prior to the handover.

You will then inspect the vehicle whilst maintaining a two meter gap with the delivery driver and confirm you are happy and sign the email we send to confirm you are happy.

We instruct customers to not use their new vehicle for three hours after delivery.

If you have a part exchange…

When we have arranged the handover date and time, please do not use your vehicle for three hours before your appointment.  

The Delivery driver will inspect your part-exchange vehicle when they arrive to make sure it matches your description from when we gave you the valuation.

Please ensure all documentation is in the car i.e V5 / service history.

We will disinfect the steering wheel and controls and will always be wearing protective mask and gloves.

The part exchange will be driven back or transported back to our dealership.

*Delivery is free within a 20 mile radius of our Washington Car Store site (postcode NE38 0AQ), if your distance is further than this we will arrange a bespoke cost.

Should you be delivering cars to customers?

We are following the latest government guidelines on online sales and delivery; we are taking this very seriously and have implemented a safe, robust process that follows all guidelines.

Staff will use appropriate PPE and sanitisation processes and social distancing recommendations will be followed at all times.

How will I pay for the vehicle?

You can safely transfer any monies to our bank account via online banking. Please speak to one of our team for more information if you have any questions regarding payment.

How will I arrange finance for my new car?

We have systems in place so this can all be done online from the safety of your home. Please speak to one of our team for more information if you have any questions regarding finance options.
