FIAT 600 Hybrid Shines with New Icon Trim

FIAT has expanded its award-winning 600 Hybrid range with the introduction of a stylish Icon trim, offering customers more choice alongside the existing entry-level 600 Hybrid and top-of-the-range La Prima versions. Orders for the new trim open from 1st August 2025.

Trim Levels and Pricing

The 600 Hybrid Icon is available with two power outputs: 100 HP and 136 HP, both paired with an electrified six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (e-DCT6). The on-the-road price for the 100 HP Icon starts at £26,860, while the 136 HP version is priced at £27,860. For comparison:

• Entry-level 600 Hybrid: £25,360 (100 HP) / £26,360 (136 HP)

• 600 Hybrid La Prima: £28,360 (100 HP) / £29,360 (136 HP)

Advanced Hybrid Technology

Built on the CMP2 platform, the Fiat 600 Hybrid features a 48V mild-hybrid powertrain with a compact 0.89 kWh lithium-ion battery mounted under the front passenger seat to preserve boot space and enhance handling.

The battery works in tandem with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, developed specifically for hybrid use. Integrated into the e-DCT6 gearbox, a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor delivers 28 HP (21 kW) and 55 Nm of torque, boosting both efficiency and performance.

The hybrid system is particularly effective in city traffic, enabling electric-only driving for short distances up to 1 km at low speeds (under 18 mph). The electric motor also assists acceleration, improving performance and reducing emissions.

• Top speed: 114 mph (100 HP) / 124 mph (136 HP)

During deceleration, the electric motor acts as a generator, recuperating energy to recharge the battery. The petrol engine runs on the Miller combustion cycle for greater efficiency and uses a belt-driven starter to seamlessly restart the engine when needed.
