Long Range Blind Spot Detection (up to 75 metres)
Standard from the Allure Premium up, this system comes with side sensors and a camera and actively looks to spot vehicles you can’t see in your blind spot.
If it then detects that something is there, a light will appear in the door mirror to warn you.
Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go Function
Standard from the Allure Premium upwards, the ACC Stop and Go system is controlled by buttons on the steering wheel and does two things:
- Keeps the car at the speed set by the driver
- Adjusts the car’s speed to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front, based on the driver’s chosen settings for distance.
Lane Positioning Assist
Standard on the GT trims, this smart system keeps the car in the centre of your lane by adjusting your steering as needed.
At the same time, the adaptive cruise control also keeps the car at the right speed and distance from the traffic ahead of you as well.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert
Standard from the Allure Premium up, when reversing, this feature warns you of any obstacles in your blind spots, such as cars, bikes, or motorbikes, using radars built into the back corners of the car.
Night Vision
Optional on the GT trims, this advanced technology helps the driver spot people and animals on the road at night.
It does so by using an infrared camera at the front of the car; Puegoet Night Vision can then detect pedestrians and animals taller than 50 cm from 15 to 200 metres away, all while warning you up to 100 metres before a possible collision occurs.
The display in front of you also shows what’s ahead in greyscale, with moving hazards like people or animals highlighted in yellow or red based on the risk level the car has detected as well.
Pricing and Model Variants

Closing Thoughts of the Peugeot 408
As you can see, the Peugeot 408 really does stand out as a stylish choice in the fast-growing fastback segment.
This is in part due to its very stylish fastback design, allowing the 408 to offer you a fresh alternative to traditional SUVs, thanks in part to its combination of the practicality of a raised ride height with the style of a coupe-inspired silhouette.
Inside, the cabin really impressed us with a modern, high-quality finish and an intuitive infotainment system, along with plenty of space for both passengers and cargo as well.
The advanced driver assistance features really enhance both its safety and ease of driving, and you have a range of efficient engine options to choose from, all of which give you one very refined ride.
