£1,500 Grant Introduced for Fiat & Abarth Retail Buyers

£1,500 Grant Introduced for Fiat & Abarth Retail Buyers

Date Posted: 07 August 2025

The switch to electric just got easier!

On 1st August 2025, FIAT’s popular £1,500 E-Grant returned, exclusively for retail customers purchasing one of FIAT or Abarth’s fully electric models — and it's available now at Sherwoods Motor Group.

The £1,500 discount applies directly to the on-the-road price of the following electric models:

  • Fiat 500e

  • Fiat 600e

  • Abarth 500e

  • Abarth 600e

This limited-time offer enhances FIAT’s existing retail promotions, including 0% APR finance on Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) for selected models like the Fiat 500e.

FIAT Launches Its Own EV Grant

The FIAT E-Grant has been reintroduced in August 2025 to make electric vehicles more accessible to everyday drivers at a time when affordability remains a significant barrier. With the cost-of-living crisis still affecting household budgets and the initial purchase price of EVs often higher than petrol or diesel alternatives, FIAT is stepping in to help ease that financial pressure. The £1,500 discount is applied directly to the vehicle’s on-the-road price, giving customers an immediate saving without needing to apply for it or wait for a rebate — a straightforward, tangible benefit that supports the transition to cleaner motoring.

This move comes as there is currently no UK Government support scheme for electric vehicle buyers. The Government’s Plug-in Car Grant, which previously offered up to £2,500 off the cost of a new EV, was withdrawn in 2022. In the absence of any new national financial incentives, FIAT became the first car manufacturer in the UK to launch its own electric vehicle grant in 2023 — and its reintroduction in 2025 reinforces the brand’s commitment to keeping electric mobility within reach for more people.

At the same time, FIAT is investing heavily in an electric future, with a stated ambition to become a fully electric brand in Europe by 2030. Bringing back the E-Grant aligns with that vision by encouraging more drivers to experience the benefits of EVs today. This applies especially to key models like the Fiat 500e and 600e, as well as their high-performance siblings, the Abarth 500e and 600e, which are gaining traction in the UK market.

Finally, the E-Grant gives FIAT a competitive advantage at a critical moment for the brand. The newly launched 600e and Abarth 600e are entering a market where competition in the compact EV segment is intensifying. By offering a £1,500 saving on top of existing offers like 0% APR finance and free servicing, FIAT is not only increasing the appeal of these models — it’s also giving dealers like Sherwoods Motor Group more tools to convert EV interest into real-world sales.

In short, the return of the FIAT E-Grant is a bold, customer-first move aimed at keeping electric cars affordable, attractive, and accessible — right when UK drivers need it most.

Sherwoods Motor Group Limited is an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd, who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Sherwoods Motor Group Limited to act as a credit broker, not as a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.

We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required.
