E-Lion Day 2025: Peugeot’s Performance Focused Vision

Date Posted: 03 March 2025

With the broadest electric vehicle (EV) lineup among mainstream brands, PEUGEOT reaffirms its ambition to lead the European EV market. Offering versatile multi-energy platforms, the brand ensures options for all customer needs, from hybrids to EVs, across compact cars, SUVs, and light commercial vehicles (LCVs).

2025 Key Performance Priorities:

  • Performance at the Core: A strong emphasis on growth, particularly in France.
  • Expanded EV Offerings: Launching the E-3008 and E-5008 Dual Motor 325 hp models and the E-5008 5-seater.
  • Enhanced Customer Experience: The PEUGEOT ELECTRIC PROMISE optimizes the electric journey with an 8-year battery and vehicle warranty, a Wall Box, and an on-the-go charging pass.
  • Sustainability Commitment: Strengthening partnerships with Born Free and Under the Pole to promote education and environmental initiatives.

PEUGEOT remains committed to achieving a Carbon Net Zero target, accelerating the transition by leveraging its five "E-pillars": Electric, Efficiency, Experience, Education, and Environment.

ELECTRIC: Expanding the Most Comprehensive EV Lineup

In 2024, PEUGEOT sold nearly 1.1 million vehicles worldwide and doubled electric vehicle orders. It led the European B-segment and LCV electric markets, seeing exceptional growth in private EV sales.

The new 3008 has been a major success, surpassing 120,000 orders, with 22% of those being fully electric—higher than the segment average. In 2025, PEUGEOT will further expand its EV range to 12 fully electric models, helping customers transition seamlessly to electric mobility.

Coming soon to dealerships:

  • E-3008 & E-5008 Dual Motor 325 hp: All-wheel drive with an additional 112 hp rear motor alongside the standard 213 hp front motor.
  • E-5008 5-seater: A spacious SUV designed for families, offering an industry-leading 994L trunk capacity and up to 2310L with seats folded.

PEUGEOT's diverse SUV lineup now caters to multiple customer needs:

  • PEUGEOT 3008 – A dynamic fastback SUV focused on design and technology.
  • PEUGEOT 5008 5-seater – A large SUV for families prioritizing space.
  • PEUGEOT 5008 7-seater – A flexible option for those needing maximum seating capacity.

EFFICIENCY: Setting the Benchmark for EV Performance

PEUGEOT leads in EV efficiency, with the ADAC Ecotest naming the E-208 and E-308 among the most efficient cars of 2024. The E-3008 and E-5008 Long Range models boast industry-leading ranges of 700 km and 668 km, respectively, enabling long-distance travel with fewer charging stops.

New Features:

  • Battery Preheating System: Optimizes charging during long winter journeys by integrating with the Trip Planner for automated activation.
  • Hybrid Innovation: The Hybrid e-DCS6 powertrain, available across nearly all PEUGEOT models, features a 136 hp petrol engine and 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox with an integrated electric motor. This system improves fuel efficiency by 15% and allows up to 50% urban driving in full electric mode.
  • Plug-in Hybrid Technology: Available on the 308, 408, 508, 3008, and 5008, delivering an 87 km electric range with just 0.9L/100 km fuel consumption on the 3008.

EXPERIENCE: Enhancing Driving Pleasure & Ease

The PEUGEOT electric experience is designed to be both exciting and effortless, addressing key customer concerns:

  • Range Confidence: Up to 700 km of electric range eliminates range anxiety.
  • PEUGEOT ELECTRIC PROMISE Guarantees:
    • 8-year/160,000 km warranty on both the vehicle and battery.
    • Wall Box for home charging included.
    • Free2Move Charge pass, granting access to nearly 1 million charging points across Europe.
  • Accessible Financing: Offering flexible financing options across markets.

EDUCATION: Strengthening Environmental Partnerships

PEUGEOT deepens its commitment to education and sustainability through partnerships with Born Free and Under The Pole.

  • Born Free Collaboration: As the official Education Partner, PEUGEOT supports wildlife conservation through funding, vehicle donations, and fundraising. At the 2024 Paris Motor Show, PEUGEOT launched the "Powered by Lions" campaign, turning EV charging stations into lion sculptures with donation-linked QR codes. In 2025, PEUGEOT will provide Landtrek pickups to support Born Free’s work in Kenya.
  • Under The Pole Partnership: PEUGEOT co-creates educational content, participates in professional events, and provides logistical support to enhance ocean research and conservation efforts.

ENVIRONMENT: Driving Sustainability Forward

At the 2025 E-LION DAY, climate researcher François Gemenne shared insights on the future of electric mobility, responding to key questions from Generation Alpha. PEUGEOT aligns with Stellantis’ Carbon Net Zero goal, integrating sustainable practices into vehicle production.

Key sustainability efforts:

  • Eco-Friendly Manufacturing: Factories reduce energy consumption and transition to renewable energy, with 60% of Stellantis sites already using decarbonized electricity, aiming for 100% by 2030.
  • Recycled Materials: The new PEUGEOT E-3008 uses 85% recyclable materials, with 40% of the dashboard and carpets made from recycled sources.

A Clear Vision for a Sustainable Future

E-LION DAY 2025 solidifies PEUGEOT’s commitment to the 5 E-pillars, guiding its journey towards Carbon Net Zero. CEO Alain Favey stated:

"Becoming the CEO of PEUGEOT is both an honor and a responsibility. The brand is strong, and our lineup is complete, offering electric, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid models on the same platforms. With these assets, we are confident in our ability to succeed and contribute to a sustainable future for generations to come."

Sherwoods Motor Group Limited is an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd, who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Sherwoods Motor Group Limited to act as a credit broker, not as a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.

We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required.
