Leapmotor Accelerates UK EV Growth

Leapmotor is continuing its rapid rise in the UK, reaching a major milestone after securing a 1% share of the new car market and 3% of the UK's electric vehicle market in June 2026.

Just over a year since launching in Britain, the brand has now recorded more than 11,000 vehicle registrations, including 6,770 so far this year. June was Leapmotor's strongest month to date, with 2,150 new registrations, highlighting growing demand for its value-packed electric vehicle range.

One of the biggest success stories has been the Leapmotor B10, which has quickly become one of the UK's best-performing electric family SUVs in the retail market. Offering generous standard equipment, advanced technology and impressive range, the B10 has proved particularly popular with private buyers looking to make the switch to electric.

More than 60% of Leapmotor's UK sales have been to private customers, around double the current industry average for electric vehicles. The brand's straightforward approach of offering high specification as standard, combined with competitive pricing, is clearly resonating with motorists.

To make electric driving even more accessible, Leapmotor continues to offer its LEAP-GRANT programme, providing immediate savings of up to £3,750 on selected models. The offer is available across much of the range, helping customers enjoy lower upfront costs without compromising on features or technology.
