New 2021 Peugeot 308 Set to arrive in March

New 2021 Peugeot 308 Set to arrive in March

Date Posted: 23 March 2021

The second-generation launch of the Peugeot 308 back in 2014 picked up the title of European Court of the year beginning a huge rise in popularity for the brand. The trend continues as they all-new 308 will be launched in March 2021 and is set to hit the road in 2022. What makes this launch extra special is that this will be the first model to sport the brand new Peugeot badge, with the 208 SW estate model following suit later on the year.

The new logo is rumoured to depict a lion’s head in place of the rampant lion.

When compared to the current model the new 308 will change dramatically. This includes a more angular, sharper design which could be compared to the latest 208, 2008, and newly facelift 3008. The new 308 will, in addition, undergo a whole new digital upgrade compared to Peugeot’s latest models.

The 308 swaps its lower bumper from protruding to a more curvaceous rounded front end that will work to incorporate Peugeot's new frameless grille. In addition, the roofline also appears to curve more steeply towards the rear than on the current 308 models, making the hatchback appear to be much longer and lower than on previous models. Further details complete the transformation, these include; new wing mirrors, a subtle rear spoiler and a sharkfin-style aerial.

With some similarities to the new 208 and 508 models, the all-new 308 will also boast details of its own- particularly at the back. LED headlights with a transparent hood with an innovative new design from the B-Class hatchback has much more horizontal coordination.

Plug-in Hybrid and fully electric-powered engines are being considered as an option which means that the front of the vehicle will look entirely different. The next 308 will be desirable for all drivers of petrol, diesel, plug-in and electric models make Peugeot’s next family car flexible for families wishing to follow a range of different lifestyles.

The CMP layout for superminis, plus the larger EMP to the architecture used by the current 308 models, is indicative of the technology the firm has already started to create at its fingertips. However, a fully electric car is yet to be launched as based on EMP2. Peugeot, Citroen and Vauxhall have all began launching mid-sized electric vans that use this same technology. Therefore, building a family car with a range of more than 200 miles should be the next step to consider.

The New 2021 Peugeot 308 is set to launch on 18th March 2021 and will be ready for the road at some point in 2022 along with an SW estate model following. For more information about the new Peugeots set to land on our forecourts, stay in touch with us at Sherwoods Peugeot.

Sherwoods Motor Group Limited is an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd, who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Sherwoods Motor Group Limited to act as a credit broker, not as a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.

We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required.
