PEUGEOT E-208 and E-308 Named the Most Efficient Cars in the ADAC 2024 Ecotest

Date Posted: 27 January 2025

We are thrilled to announce that Peugeot’s fully electric E-208 and E-308 models have been ranked first and second, out of 84 vehicles in the ADAC 2024 Ecotest. Conducted by ADAC, Europe's largest automobile association, this independent study evaluates the real-world efficiency of vehicles. These impressive results highlight PEUGEOT’s commitment to becoming the leading EV brand among mainstream manufacturers in Europe.

  • ALLURE: ADAC highlights the outstanding efficiency of PEUGEOT's vehicles.
  • EMOTION: PEUGEOT provides the best solutions for customers transitioning to electric mobility.
  • EXCELLENCE: The PEUGEOT E-208 and E-308 are recognized as the most efficient cars in Europe.

Every year, the ADAC Ecotest independently assesses the efficiency of vehicles on the European market. The study measures energy consumption in everyday driving conditions, on the road. In the 2024 edition, the PEUGEOT E-208 and E-308, both powered by a 100% electric 115 kW (156 hp) engine, claimed the top two spots out of the 84 models tested. A third PEUGEOT, the E-2008, also with the same engine, was named the top SUV in the test and placed 6th overall.

These impressive results underscore the efficiency of PEUGEOT’s fully electric models, which benefit from extensive work by the brand’s engineers and designers across all areas—engine, battery, and aerodynamics.

The three PEUGEOT models tested in the 2024 Ecotest showcase class-leading energy consumption figures: the PEUGEOT E-208 consumes just 16 kWh/100 km, the E-308 uses 16.3 kWh/100 km, and the E-2008 consumes 17.9 kWh/100 km (including charging losses, as per ADAC's Ecotest).

In terms of range, these models are among the best in their categories: 410 km for the E-208, 413 km for the E-308, and 406 km for the E-2008 (according to the WLTP combined cycle). All three PEUGEOTs can also be recharged from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes.

With 12 fully electric models, PEUGEOT offers the largest lineup of electric vehicles among European mainstream manufacturers, all with impressive efficiency. The latest example is the new Long-Range version of the PEUGEOT E-3008, which has an industry-leading 700 km range for an SUV.

These achievements reinforce PEUGEOT’s ambition to lead the electric vehicle market among mainstream European manufacturers.

Sherwoods Motor Group Limited is an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd, who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Sherwoods Motor Group Limited to act as a credit broker, not as a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.

We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required.
