Suzuki Shines Again

Suzuki Shines Again

Date Posted: 24 October 2025

Suzuki has once again proven its reputation for dependability, securing another impressive result in the 2025 What Car? Reliability Survey. The brand achieved a score of 95.7%, earning 3rd place out of 30 manufacturers — a testament to Suzuki’s long-standing commitment to building cars that drivers can trust.

Conducted annually, the What Car? Reliability Survey gathers insights from real vehicle owners with cars up to five years old. This year, more than 32,000 readers provided feedback across 227 different models, offering one of the most comprehensive assessments of vehicle dependability in the UK.

Suzuki Models Lead the Way

Suzuki’s performance wasn’t just strong overall — individual models also excelled in their respective categories:

  • Suzuki Swift (2017–2024): Achieved an outstanding 95.9% in the Supermini class.

  • Suzuki Vitara (2015–present): Scored 95.4% in the Small SUV category.

  • Suzuki S-Cross (2021–present): Earned a solid 93.5% in its class.

Expert Insight

Claire Evans, Consumer Editor at What Car?, commented:

“Suzuki is a consistently high scorer in the What Car? Reliability Survey. It has remained in the top five manufacturers for the past five years, showing not only the durability of its models but also the quality of its dealer support. This year, Suzuki covered 88% of repair costs for cars under five years old, with 42% of issues resolved within a day.”

Extended Peace of Mind for Suzuki Owners

Suzuki owners can also enjoy long-term confidence with the brand’s up to 10-year warranty, introduced earlier in 2025. The warranty is automatically extended when vehicles are serviced at an official Suzuki dealership once the standard 3-year / 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty ends.

Additionally, the new e-Vitara model includes an up to 10-year EV battery warranty (eight years manufacturer + two years service-activated), further enhancing ownership value for electric vehicle customers.

The warranty remains valid until the next qualifying service and can be transferred free of charge to a new owner — adding further appeal to Suzuki’s already strong resale value.

Suzuki ranked 3rd out of 30 manufacturers with a brand score of 95.7%, reflecting outstanding reliability and customer satisfaction.

The Swift, Vitara, and S-Cross all scored above 93%, placing among the best in their respective classes.

The warranty covers major vehicle components for up to 10 years / 100,000 miles and is service-activated through Suzuki’s dealer network. It’s also fully transferable between owners at no cost.

Sherwoods Motor Group Limited is an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd, who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Sherwoods Motor Group Limited to act as a credit broker, not as a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.

We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required.
