The New Isuzu D-Max Has Arrived

The New Isuzu D-Max Has Arrived

Date Posted: 23 March 2021

After a decade long stretch of existing in the same style and mechanics, the new Isuzu D-Max pick up truck has now arrived in the UK as of March 2021.

The Mk3 D-Max has been selling in its home country of Thailand since October 2019 after undergoing its makeover which gave it an overall more powerful and distinguished appearance than its older sibling. The all-new lsuzu D-Max line up comes in three ranges; business, all-purpose, and adventure. All of which feature a range of models and cab sizes.

In Isuzu’s all-purpose mid-range category, you will find the DL20 and the DL40 specifications. Both of these models include a rear lock as standard, with the addition of extra safety equipment such as adaptive cruise control and assistance with keeping in lane.

Retaining the high-riding, chunky silhouette according to preview images, the Isuzu D-Max now has a completely new front end, with a larger grille protected by thick chrome bars across the front as well as brand new LED headlights. Changes to the back of the pick up truck are significantly more subtle. However, the integrated step into the bumper, as well as the new addition of vertical tail light clusters are what make this truck unique when compared to previous models. Two-tone alloy wheels, silver side steps, parking aides such as sensors and a reverse camera are just some of the trim details in the new Isuzu D-Max.

However, it is the interior that really sets it apart from previous models. A brand new control panel with a 9 inch infotainment touchscreen replaces the older 7 inch system, as well as replacing the old rotary controller based control panel with a more streamlined horizontal control panel.

Isuzu have described the cabin’s transformation as becoming a ‘premium yet fuss free’ driving environment due to the elegant details and soft-touch panelling.

Owners of D-Max DL40 trucks will be treated to soft touch leather upholstery and steering wheel, a driving seat that can be adjusted 8 ways, as well as dual-zone climate control features. The in built infotainment system supports both Apple and Android driving technology.

The engineers at Isuzu have lengthened and strengthened the platform so as to support the new body, with a redesigned front and rear suspension, additional underbody protection and a power steering system, improving the overall drivability of the pick up truck.

At present, there is no view of multiple engine choices and the D-Max remains exclusively diesel with an undisclosed capacity engine. There are, however, both six-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearboxes available to choose from in each of the new vehicles in the range to choose from.

Sherwoods Motor Group Limited is an Appointed Representative of Automotive Compliance Ltd, who is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No 497010). Automotive Compliance Ltd’s permissions as a Principal Firm allows Sherwoods Motor Group Limited to act as a credit broker, not as a lender, for the introduction to a limited number of lenders and to act as an agent on behalf of the insurer for insurance distribution activities only.

We can introduce you to a selected panel of lenders, which includes manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent. An introduction to a lender does not amount to independent financial advice and we act as their agent for this introduction. Our approach is to introduce you first to the manufacturer lender linked directly to the particular franchise you are purchasing your vehicle from, who are usually able to offer the best available package for you, taking into account both interest rates and other contributions. If they are unable to make you an offer of finance, we then seek to introduce you to whichever of the other lenders on our panel is able to make the next best offer of finance for you. Our aim is to secure the best deal you are eligible for from our panel of lenders. Lenders may pay a fixed commission to us for introducing you to them, calculated by reference to the vehicle model or amount you borrow. Different lenders may pay different commissions for such introductions, and manufacturer lenders linked directly to the franchises that we represent may also provide preferential rates to us for the funding of our vehicle stock and also provide financial support for our training and marketing. But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement, all of which are set by the lender concerned. If you ask us what the amount of commission is, we will tell you in good time before the Finance agreement is executed. All finance applications are subject to status, terms and conditions apply, UK residents only, 18’s or over. Guarantees may be required.
